Playwriting course

I have attended the 2nd class of the playwriting course yesterday.  Finally, I can work on something I really enjoy!!

This course is more theory oriented.  We started from the structure of a proper script, we learnt some important elements such as OBJECTIVE, ACTIONS, CONFLICTS, EXPOSITION, INCITING INCIDENT, etc.

Playwriting is much more well structured and formulated than I expected.

Anyway, the feeling was like I have found a tribe I truly belonged to.  It is the feeling I missed for quite some time.

We should submit a homework in monthly basis, I was exciting when doing it.

It was a good start!  Let see how will my dream of being a script writer evolve.

Lazy hamster

Hamsters are supposed to be energetic, but Marshmallow is an exception.  Her daily activities are mainly eating and sleeping.  She seldom runs in the exercise wheel.


Marshmallow was very tiny when we bought her.  After two weeks, she gets 30% bigger.  We believe she should do some more exercise, otherwise it is not difficult to develop obesity within the 1 feet x 1 feet x 1 feet cage.


So when I clean up her cage in every two days, I would put her in our shower room and let her run laps and stretch.


Not sure if she was panicking, she kept passing motion at a corner in the shower room yesterday, it was quite disgusting.  After all, it is a place we take shower.  I worried her but Jeff said she just needed time to get used to the surrounding.  Maybe we should find other better place for Marshmallow to do workout.

好像海綿的綠茶海綿蛋糕

這是我全家也愛吃的蛋糕°

海綿蛋糕是我第一種做的蛋糕,在這兩年內我已做了差不多十個°有綠茶味,巧克力味等°

真是熟能生巧,這次焗得十分成功,蛋糕鼓得高高的°在爐外看著麵漿慢慢爬升,香味撲出時,我明白我為甚麼沉迷於這玩意°

「看!蛋糕出世了!」我跟朗朗笑說°

"Now you really look like a mom!"

Two weeks ago, I was standing in front of a kitchen sink, trying hard to remove chocolate stink from a mixing bowl, after making a chocolate lava cake.


My domestic helper looked at me, pointed to my nose and said I also got chocolate stink on my nose.  Then she laughed and said, "Now you really look like a mom."


"What do you mean?" I asked casually, and still kept concentrating on washing the dirty bowl.


"Last time when you were working, you always dressed nice and looked nice.  Now ar, your hair, you clothes are different, like... um... you don't care of how you look (anymore)."  She said.


I was really a bit shocked.  I believe at that moment, I looked pretty lousy -  messy hair,casual home wear with a dirty apron, and, chocolate on my face.  Secretly, looking like a washout mom is the last thing I want to be....


I just murmured something to reply.  I told her I didn't need to dress nice anymore because I didn't have to work in office then.


However, since that moment, I  don't allow myself to have a single second to look like a washout housewife with hand band holding all hair up!!!

其實沒有甚麼浪漫的故事跟這首歌有關,只是當年讀Form 2的我,有一個星期五跟同學到麥記胡扯時,有兩位菲藉姐姐向我們售賣English golden oldies的錄音帶(??!!!),好像是港幣15元°我跟友人竟然各買一盒°

從此,我對英文金曲的眼界開拓了°True,就是這盒帶中我最喜歡的歌之一°

王若琳演譯的True,少了剛陽味,卻多了溫柔°

我的<圍城>

離開果仁公司時,愛麗絲送我一本<圍城>°她說過作者錢鍾書是她的偶像,這本書對她的影響很大°

我現在已讀到一半,希望二月底前能看畢此書°我還應承愛麗絲做一份讀書報告給她°

<圍城>是關於一個回國的留學生方漸鴻的經歷°老實說,故事有點瑣碎,但不失趣味,充滿對讀書人諷刺和自嘲°故事重心我還是捉不緊,不過我明白是有關圍城 - 外面的人想進來,內裏的人想出來°

我想,圍城可代表任何東西:名利、愛情、事業等等°你的圍城是什麼?
